Common GCC design factors

Ambient temperature: affects module voltage, inverter thermal behavior and cable resistance. Use a documented design temperature rather than a generic assumption.

Soiling: dust accumulation can reduce irradiance reaching the module. Treat soiling as an explicit loss assumption and connect it to the planned cleaning strategy.

Roof environment: roof temperature, access, waterproofing, drainage, walkways and structural capacity are part of the PV design.

Electrical routing: long DC/AC runs can make voltage drop, cable grouping and thermal derating important. Do not select cable size from current alone.

Resource quality: document the solar-resource provider, period, location and modelling assumptions. Use multiple sources where the project requires confidence.

Authority requirements: project-specific utility and local authority requirements take precedence over any general educational guidance on this site.
